As an organization based in New Westminster, Royal City Musical Theatre Society (RCMT) recognizes and respects that we work and play on the unceded and unsurrendered lands of the Halkomelem speaking peoples.

RCMT creates homegrown productions of Broadway musicals for local audiences. We are aware that the culture, canon, and traditions of this genre have not always created an environment inclusive and welcoming to all.

This must change. And so, as we continue to bring these musical stories to life, the tenets of Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion must be present in all we do.

We want the musicals we bring you to be a true reflection of our community, and ensure that everyone involved with RCMT feels welcomed and valued.

Our own practices have fallen short. We are not yet there.
